California man shoots down spy drone (Video)

California man shoots down spy drone (Video), The man, got an anonymous phone call from someone and they left a message on his answering machine. The anonymous caller told him "Hey, get rid of your eyesore sign or you won't have any privacy" according to InsideEdition.com. Recently, I wrote a post titled "Are you safe from spy drones when outdoors?" This brings even more questions to the forefront about the use of drones.

The guy, Larry Breaux of Valencia, California, the homeowner who shot down the drone, said that he believes that someone was unhappy with a sign he has in his front yard with which he is trying to raise money to start an “organic lemon” business. He currently has raised a few hundred dollars, but needs another 60,000 dollars or so.

Here's the video link (and only the video)

He saw the drone hovering outside his window while he sat with a friend having a discussion. He threw his cell phone to his buddy and said “videotape me”, then he grabbed his shotgun that he normally uses to chase away coyotes and ran outside with it.

When he got outside, he saw the drone fly over his home to the back of the house. He ran around the back of the house, took aim and BAMMMMM! He shot the drone out of the sky. He was able to get the video that the drone had taken, because his shot did not damage the video chip in the drones camera.

In the video, he tells the reporter that after he shot down the “spy drone”, he heard someone on the far hillside yelling “what the hell are you doing”.

It's an amazing video; and I say 3 cheers for Mr. Breaux!
